The very successful Land Rover Society of Explorers Cape Town, is a community of Land Rover owners, and not a club, who enjoy spending time together and discussing their common passion... Land Rover's... From Expeditions to finding meteor craters in the most remote parts on earth, to sharing techniques on how to improve and accessorise their vehicles in the best possible way! Something Defender owners are particularly fond of.
From Series Land Rover Owners to Limited Edition Big Body Range Rover clients, they all share a common love for the brand, that goes much deeper than just appreciating an extraordinary vehicle - It's a lifestyle.
“It's a Land Rover thing, you wouldn't understand”
On Monday 30 May 2011, Greg van der Reis, the founder of LRSE, joined a group of Land Rover enthusiasts at the Land Rover Dealership in Midrand. The purpose of this evening was to launch the Land Rover Socienty of Explorers in Gauteng.
LRSE is a non profit organisation, with the sole purpose of connecting individuals who share the same passion for the brand. Membership is completely free, and any Land Rover owner is welcome.
The idea is for these members to come together once a month, build strong relationships and share new idea's and developments. At these events, there is generally a guest speaker with an incredible story to share and inspire.
Greg kicked off the evening with an explanation of what LRSE is all about, and throughout the evening shared photos of expeditions in recent years, and also sharing what his passions and aim is.
Many members signed up, and the rest of the evening was spent chatting away as only Land Rover people know how.
